YEN Subscription Site FAQs
-
How much is the subscription?
-
It's $2.99 per month (taxes may apply)
-
How long is the subscription for?
-
The subscription is for 30 days and is recurring until you cancel through PayPal. If you cancel your subscription, you'll still have access to the full month you paid for.
-
Do I need a PayPal account to subscribe?
-
You will need a PayPal account to subscribe. You can use a pre-existing account or create a new one as part of the sign-up process.
-
How can I pay for the subscription?
-
With PayPal you can link to your bank account, debit card, or credit card.
-
How do I cancel my PayPal subscription to YEN PLUS?
-
Log into PayPal. Under the "My Account" tab, in your "Overview," click "View all of my transactions." Click "More Filters," select "Subscriptions and Agreements," then "Recurring Payments," then "My Profiles." A recurring payment to Yen Press should be in the list, with a status of "Created." Click "Details." Near the top of the "Subscription Details," you should see a profile ID that matches your PayPal Subscriber ID. Click "Cancel," then "Cancel Profile." You should then see a message confirming the profile has been canceled. You will then start seeing a message in YEN PLUS saying your account will soon not be active, then after about three days it will not be active, and YEN PLUS content will no longer be accessible. You'll still be able to log in and resubscribe if desired.
-
What do I get when I subscribe?
-
You'll have access to the current month's and previous month's issues of YEN PLUS Magazine.
-
When are the magazines updated?
-
The magazines are updated the first Tuesday of every month.
-
What series are in the magazine?
-
We keep an updated list of the currently serialized issues here.
-
How can I read old issues?
-
We don't keep an archive of YEN PLUS, that's how we're able to keep the cost so low. If you're interested in rereading an older series, please go buy the books! You'll be supporting great manga and the creators who toil over them, and you'll also have a book. Win-win!

As long as you can log into YEN PLUS, you can re-subscribe to regain access to YEN PLUS content. In these cases, you should be seeing messages that provide a "Subscribe" button that will take you to PayPal to re-subscribe.
-
What do these error messages mean?
-
"Your membership has been locked. Please contact YEN PLUS Help."
This means that our YEN PLUS admin saw a problem with this membership and decided to disable it. You'll need to contact YEN PLUS Help to get more information.
"Too many failed attempts logging in. Please wait an hour."
To prevent someone from guessing your password, we limit the amount of times a wrong password can be entered in an hour. If you wait an hour or so, and do have your password, you should be able to log in. If it still doesn't work, contact YEN PLUS Help.
"Too many logins in a twenty-four hour period"
To protect our systems, we limit the amount of times someone can log in per day. You can stay logged in as long as you want, however.
"This membership has expired. Please contact YEN PLUS Help."
This means the subscription has been cancelled, and no one has logged into this account for at least six months. If you'd like to resubscribe using this membership, contact YEN PLUS Help to enable it again.
"Your trial period has expired. Please subscribe."
Subscriptions that use trial codes are good for thirty days, after which a paid subscription is required to regain access to YEN PLUS content.
"Your subscription is not complete. Please subscribe."
Something must have interrupted the subscription process, and you have a membership but have not paid for the subscription yet. Clicking the provided "Subscribe" button will take you to PayPal to complete that process. If you believe the process was indeed completed, double check your PayPal account, then contact YEN PLUS Help.
"Your subscription is no longer active. Please resubscribe."
If you've canceled your subscription in PayPal, or for some reason PayPal has canceled it (e.g., failed payment), and the three day grace period has expired, you no longer have access to YEN PLUS content. If you believe the subscription is not canceled, double check your PayPal account, then contact YEN PLUS Help. Otherwise, clicking the provided "Subscribe' button will then take you to PayPal so you can resubscribe.
