Well, it won’t be long till our big online debut, so if you haven’t already picked up your July issue of Yen Plus, you’ll want to make sure you’re all caught up on your favorite series before then! This month’s covers feature a trio of black blood-toting baddies from Soul Eater on side “B” while Si-Joon and Mu-Yeon celebrate their wedding day and the final chapter of Pig Bride on side “A”!!! This month’s magazine also contains the final chapter of One Fine Day, a bonus preview of Higurashi WHEN THEY CRY Time Killing Arc, and installments of all your regular favorites.

To those of you who’ve stuck with us these past two years, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In that time, you’ve enjoyed over 50 volumes of Yen Plus titles, not to mention a number of original short stories, bonus previews, posters, and interviews. We know we
still have a long way to go, so we thank you for your support and hope to see you online very soon!!

We’ve also received a lot of queries about where to obtain back issues. A number of online stores, including RightStuf and Robert’s Anime Corner Store are still selling old issues, so you might have to do a little online digging.

Summer is nearly upon us, as is the end of the print version of YEN PLUS. But there are still a couple of issues left and plenty of sunshiny days for you to curl up under a shady tree with your favorite series! Sebastian’s setting the table with style, ready to dish up a fine mix of fear, fun, and flashbacks over on side “B.” Meanwhile, sweet little Angel of Max Ride’s flock is having a tough time deciding which chapter she loves the most! Is it Nightschool’s approaching climax? Pig Bride’s approaching wedding? Ah! It’s too hard to pick just one!

This month’s mag also features a sneak preview of Book Girl and the Suicidal Mime. This might be my favorite Yen Press novel series to date! Though Kieli’s Harvey is most endearing in a gruff sort of way… And My Girlfriend’s a Geek is hilarious… And no one can deny the cleverness of Holo the Wisewolf… Ah! It’s too hard to pick just one!

Shhhh! One Fine Day’s Nanai, Guru, and Rang are trying to take a nap! Break and Emily from Pandora Hearts are keeping the noise down on side B, but even Break’s having trouble containing all the ruckus going on inside! This month features “The Clinic of the Damned,” a brand-new short story from Steven Cummings, a lovely Kobato. poster from fan-favorite manga team CLAMP, and exciting chapters from all your favorite series! Hopefully you’ve already secured your copy of May’s YEN PLUS, but if you haven’t hopped over to the store yet, now’s the time! While you’re there, be sure to look for two new Yen series releasing this month (Kobato. The skies have cleared at last in the Northeast, and we are enjoying some long-anticipated sunshine! And you are enjoying your long-anticipated issue of YEN PLUS! It’s almost the new year, and that means new things happening at Yen Press! Proudly making her manga debut on side “A” is Serena, star of our new original series based on the Gossip Girl novels. You might think you know Gossip Girl, but HyeKyung Baek’s cooked up an all-new story, adding her own unique storytelling flair which we hope you will enjoy. Thanksgiving is just days away, but before you dive into that turkey dinner, why not take a moment to dive into the latest issue of YEN PLUS?! Pandora Hearts and Pig Bride kick off this year’s holiday issue, packed with all kinds of goodies for you our dear fans. There’s already been a lot of chat about the Spice and Wolf cover (see previous news posts), but this month’s issue features not only a lovely slip cover for those of you missing the original art (which is indeed lovely, folded and all), but also a preview of the novel itself! Well, the drug stores are starting to put out their Halloween displays already, so I guess it’s about time for the October issue of YEN PLUS! And who better for the cover than Ho-Yeon, half of Time and Again’s ghost- tracking duo? And on the other side, doing his part to keep the baddies at bay, is Taitou of Hero Tales. It’s like this issue was specifically made for Abby… This month’s issue is a FAT one, packed with twelve of your regularly-scheduled favorites, plus a novel preview of Gail Carriger’s Soulless from our friends over at Orbit Books. This witty tale of vampires and werewolves set in Victorian times comes highly recommended from Tania herself, so if you’ve been loving Black Butler, you’ll wanna check it out! But as you excitedly tear off that plastic wrapping and dive in, do not forget to pause for a moment of silence, as Sumomomo makes its final appearance in the pages of YEN PLUS. Now that she’s got some competition, Momoko’s kickin’ up the heat in her pursuit of Koushi, and unfortunately it’s a little too hot for the magazine. This month features the last chapter of Volume 2, which will be available in stores this month, and the story will continue in Volume 3, coming March of next year!
