SOULLESS Manga Sketches Revealed!

At Comic-Con last year, Yen Press announced that we would be releasing an adaptation of Gail Carriger’s bestselling Soulless novels, a Victorian-era adventure featuring vampires, werewolves, and parasols. Today, we are pleased to give you a glimpse of what is to come! Starting today, Gail Carriger will be posting new character sketches to her blog every other Monday for the next two months! The Soulless manga adaptation is being illustrated by Rem whose work you may recognize from the Vampire Kisses manga. We are thrilled to have Rem working on this project, and we think you will be pleased to see her lovely renditions of Miss Alexia Tarabotti, whose lack of a soul does not damper her love of fine tea and treacle tart; Lord Maccon, head of the Bureau of Unnatural Registry and Alpha of the local werewolf pack; and Lord Akeldama, a flamboyant vampire with a flair for fashion and for uncovering the secrets of London’s supernatural set!

In my opinion, the sketeches are fantastic. And the actual images used in the Manga won’t be just rough sketches. So I’m looking forward to this!! Anything involving the Victorian Era will always make me inrested. ;]]]
